BookAuthority and Packfits for ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini
These connectors let ChatGPT, Claude and Google's Gemini app and AI Mode answer with data from two Lifehack Labs sites. No account or sign-in is needed, the tools only read published data, and they never ask for personal information. Read the privacy policy.
BookAuthority
BookAuthority ranks books by the experts who recommend them. The connector looks up BookAuthority's published book lists, more than 15,000 of them, and shows the ranked books with the reason each book is on the list and the experts who recommended it.
- Search BookAuthority book lists (search_book_lists): finds lists for a subject, optionally only the best, beginner, new or best-selling list.
- Get a BookAuthority book list (get_book_list): returns the ranked books on one list with authors, publication year, what each book is best for, why it is on the list, who recommended it and, in ChatGPT and Claude, a link to the print edition on Amazon.
Server URLs end in /bookauthority/chatgpt/mcp (ChatGPT), /bookauthority/claude/mcp (Claude) and /bookauthority/google/mcp (Gemini and AI Mode). Try: "What are the best books on longevity?" or "I am new to investing. Which books should I start with?" Support: feedback@bookauthority.org.
Packfits
Packfits checks airline bag rules. The connector returns an airline's published carry-on, personal item and checked bag limits with the official source and the date each limit was last checked, and tells you whether your bag fits.
- Get an airline's bag size rules (get_airline_bag_rules): size, weight and fee limits for one airline.
- Check if a bag fits an airline limit (check_bag_fit): fits, close or too big for your bag's dimensions, with the airline's limit, and in ChatGPT and Claude, bags that do fit when yours does not.
Server URLs end in /packfits/chatgpt/mcp (ChatGPT), /packfits/claude/mcp (Claude) and /packfits/google/mcp (Gemini and AI Mode). Try: "Will my 22 x 14 x 9 inch carry-on fit on United?" Support: feedback+packfits@lifehacklabs.org.
